The Urban Development Institute of Australia (Queensland) is a proud partner of the Sustainable Homes program. The UDIA has a strong focus on encouraging sustainable urban development and furthering the sustainability agenda throughout the UDIA membership and in dealings with government. This focus permeates through all facets of UDIA policy-making, which led to the ‘Champion Projects’ (2002 - 2004) initiative with the EPA, and more recently, Enviro-Development, which is an incentive-based star-rating tool to inspire and facilitate greater participation in sustainable urban development by members.

UDIA is actively promoting the Sustainable Homes program through its membership. It is also:

providing specialist design advice as part of the review process for each of the display homes; and

targeting awareness of the program and seeking participation from local developers in sustainable display home locations.
